Bradford Philen is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He has been a teacher since 2002 in a variety of locations across the globe, namely: Owamboland, The Bronx, Dakar, Beijing, and he is now teaching high school English in Manila, where he lives with his wife, kids, and dog Bear. He holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, a graduate degree from Lehman College, and he is an MFA awardee with the University of Alaska at Anchorage. The author of the novel Autumn Falls and the short story collection Everything is Insha’Allah, Bradford’s third book of fiction When the Color Started is forthcoming in 2020 with Tailwinds Press.
